We’re celebrating Southern African history with our latest cave art pieces inspired by the 4,500 cave artworks found in Tsodilo Hills, Botswana, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The site is believed to have been inhabited by the ancestors of the San who created the paintings which date as far back as 24,000 years ago.
African masks have historically been worn in many celebrations and spiritual rituals by various African tribes throughout the continent.
Artwork from this collection includes; the Dan mask from Ivory Coast and Liberia, Ligbi mask from Ivory Coast and Ghana, Punu mask from Gabon, and lastly, Biombo masks from Central Democratic Republic of Congo.
